Guiding Frazer-Nash Consulting

"Having joined a new company and created a brand new management team, it was essential I set them up for success, and as this session was a new concept to my people I had to get it right first time. I engaged Four Points to facilitate, and they comfortably exceeded my expectations. The day was extremely productive, with lots of practical outputs, and my team were universal in their praise for the facilitator. There has been a visible and measurable improvement to my team as a result."

A facilitated Team day to create a unified approach to IT in Frazer-Nash Consultancy

New leadership and a restructure of the IT Team at Frazer-Nash Consultancy created an opportunity to refresh the whole department’s way of working. Frazer-Nash engaged Four Points to help design and facilitate this, focused around a team event to ignite the change. The objective for the day was to breakdown communication barriers, improve cross-team working practises and to start the process of defining the new departmental vision and strategy.

So we got thinking. We crafted an agenda, decided which models/interventions to use, contemplated what kind of pre reading and exercises might warm up the Team’s thinking before we got together and then…we facilitated the day. Away from the office, the Team arrived, the wall charts and post its were out and we got stuck in to discussing all things IT related.

We documented how the department felt about their work and their place within the larger operation of Frazer-Nash. The team defined a set of golden rules for how the department will work in the future based on a high performing team model. And most importantly, we uncovered over 25 cross-team tensions that needed to be resolved within the department. These were things that stopped them from being able to do their job effectively or efficiently.

Head of IS&T, Ian Dudley , fed back: "Having joined a new company and created a brand new management team, it was essential I set them up for success, and as this session was a new concept to my people I had to get it right first time.
